Mandatum developer docs
Mandatum gives AI clients and your own code verified access to statute research for the Commonwealth Caribbean. You connect a client or call the REST API with a key, search the statute corpus, and check citations against it. Each citation comes back with a verdict from our resolver, not a guess from the model.
Base URL: https://mandatum.intergentech.ai. Every REST path below is relative to it, and the MCP endpoint is https://mandatum.intergentech.ai/api/mcp.

What the API exposes #
The MCP endpoint and the REST API share one catalogue of 16 tools. Each tool is unlocked only by the scopes on the key or grant that calls it, and a key with no scopes sees no tools.
- Statutes: search the corpus and fetch a section by CAP number.
- Citations: resolve a citation to a section and report its verdict and currency.
- Gap analysis, benchmarking and workflows: read gap items your organisation recorded, compare titles across jurisdictions, list and trigger workflow runs.
- Documents and Matters: parse a document without storing it, and read the Matters your key's owner belongs to.
Usage is metered in four units: call, verified_citation, gap_report and tokens. See Usage and units.
Ground rules #
- Read the verdict, not the match. A
found: trueresult means the provision exists in the corpus as we hold it. It does not mean the law is in force. Checkcurrentorcurrency_statebefore you rely on currency. - Unresolved citations are free. They report the reason they did not resolve and do not bill.
- Mandatum is a research tool. Nothing it returns is legal advice, and statute text should be checked against the official source before anyone relies on it.
- Data that a tool returns is sent to whatever client or model you connect. Read Data egress before you connect a third-party service.
Project #
- Security model describes tenant isolation, the single authorisation chokepoint and the audit trail.
- Changelog lists every change that affects an external client, newest first.
